Introducing the On-line Course "Using Data to Increase Student Achievement"
Since its inception on Sept 24, 1997, the www.mdk12.org web site has been exceptionally well received, having over 70 million hits and 4.5 million visited pages, both by school-based teams interested in school improvement as well as by the public seeking to learn more about educational progress in Maryland. Last year, Achieve, Inc., called the web site the best school improvement resource in the country. Recently, the site was further enhanced through the addition of an on-line data analysis course designed to lead school teams step by step through the data analysis process.
Contents of This Facilitators’ Guide
The following sections of this guide are designed to assist county-level facilitators and the core group of school-based instructional leaders from across the state as they introduce the content of the on-line course to school teams in their districts:
